Grab a friend or two, gather up some ingredients for a salad, bring them to one of the sites and prepare/serve the salad with 2-3 students! Make enough for 20 students and five volunteers (we will confirm the number with you in advance).
Salads can be built around greens, veggies, grains, rice or pasta. Please bring the recipe (or a link to the recipe) so we can add it to our salad recipe book to be shared on the website for families to access later. And since we’re trying to introduce children to tasty food but also food that’s good for us, please try to avoid mayonnaise, sour cream, etc., and lean toward oil and vinegar or citrus juice dressings.
